Instructions for Presenters
Preparation of Presentations
Prepare an abstract of your presentation less than 250 words excluding the title, authors and addresses. Please refer to the example provided below or on the congress website at
http://www.ice2012.org
. Abstract should be submitted from on-line submission page.
The title should be concise and informative enough to facilitate understanding of the paper. Acronyms should not be in the title.
Authors' names should preferably be written in full name for all publications to facilitate indexing and avoid ambiguities.
Abstracts must be presented in the flowing format (when you submit with document file):
- - as an MS Word file (Word 97 or later) as per the template that will be emailed to you when you register on the online abstract submission system. Use Arial font throughout.
- - First line: 11 point font, bold. Title of your presentation.
- - Body text:
- - 10 point font. Line spacing should be 1.5
- - Notation must be legible, clear, compact, and consistent with standard usage.
If your presentation has been invited into a specific symposium, please state it as an "invited submission" and give the name and number of the symposium.
Authors of abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be notified as soon as possible after the final date of submission. Where submissions cannot be accommodated as oral presentations, the section conveners may elect them as posters. Authors will be provided with sufficient notice when this occurs.
Guideline for Oral Presentation
All presentations will be given in English.
Presenters will have 15 minutes to give their oral presentation including Q & A.
All presenters will be supplied with a laser pointer and a podium microphone.
All presentations should be given using Power Point (97 or later).
No personal laptop or notebook computers will be allowed for oral presentations.
We strongly encourage you to upload your presentation materials in advance via online submission. Closing date to upload your presentation materials will be posted later.
Guideline for Poster Presentation
Stationary Poster Presentation
- - Poster should preferably be laminated.
- - The Poster boards measure approximately A0 format (118cm high X 84cm wide).
- - A supply of tape will be available in the poster area for mounting your materials.
Format
- - Poster material must be prepared in advance and should be large enough to be viewed from a distance of one meter.
- - Accepted poster presentations will be allocated a POSTER NUMBER - posters must be erected at the site with the corresponding number during the allocated poster session.
- - Posters must be erected using VELCRO DOTS only. Please apply velcro "rough" dots to the reverse side of posters.
- - After the allocated poster session, authors must remove their posters by the nominated removal time. Failure to do so will result in their removal by the Congress organizers who will not be responsible for posters not removed by the due time.
Submission Procedures
- - Abstract MUST be submitted online.
- - Hand-written, fax and email abstracts will not be accepted.
